Psyllid bug Adult

Description:

This adult psyllid probably emerged from one of the previous few lerps. These are called plant lice. This may possibly be the male of my next spotting.

Thanks Mark. This is one of the larger and more strongly colored lerps. I suspect this one is the basket lerp (Cardiaspina sp.) http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/226...

Some good front-end detail in there... such tiny creatures.

The nose (genal cones) is distinctive in this species and should be helpful for an ID http://www.britishbugs.org.uk/bug_bits.h...
