This tree was dripping with long yellow inflorescences of yellow flowers and long hard seed pods.

Habitat:

Along the road in the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, Oaxaca, Mexico.

Notes:

This tree is native to Egypt, the Mideast and warm areas of Asia from South Pakistan, India, Myanmar and Sri Lanka. It is the National Tree of Thailand. Almost all parts of the tree are used for traditional medicines. Thank you so very much Esteban. I am delighted to know what this tree is and am fascinated by all the traditional medicinal uses. I am not sure if it is used that way in Mexico. I love the name in spanish!
