? Cannonball Fungus

Description:

A small mass of fine fibrous cream-coloured material with darker spherical structures embedded in it. Each of these rounded structure would have been about 2mm wide.

Habitat:

Spotted on the side of a damp decayed log - damp eucalyptus forest.

Notes:

Unsure if this is a cannonball fungus (Sphaerobolus stellatus). The spheres were a dark colour and I haven't found any information that supports this. I am looking for confirmation.

Thanks Jared. I am a little unsure about the ID and I am hoping that someone will confirm it for me.
