Honey locust

Description:

Native to eastern North America,this fast growing tree can reach heights of up to 30m. This species produces fragrant cream colored flowers in the late spring, but despite its common name does not produce a significant amount of nectar for the production of honey. It's common name derived from the sweet taste of the fruit pulp, which can be fermented to make beer.
