Wild Cucumber

Description:

A Marah or wild cucumber are flowering plants are in the gourd family. They are also commonly called "The Old man in the ground." This one is a Oregon Manroot, or Western Wild Cucumber is a common Manroot of the northern west coast of the United States it ranges from California then north to Canada.

Habitat:

The habitat of wild cucumber is quite variable but they are most found where water is readily available. They can be found with thick shrubs or trees.

Notes:

This Marah was found off the road going up to birds eye view at Mossyrock park located off Riffe Lake in Washington State.
