Description:

Smallest of the N American hummingbirds, the Calliope is generally found in mountainous regions. Identified by it's small size, by the short green tail(Rufous and allen's females both have rufous on the tail) and by the wingtips that cover the tail when at rest

Habitat:

feeder at rural home

Notes:

Usually our just passing through hummers only stay for a fleeting glimpse. This girl has been here for at least two days
