Description:

This green heron was intently watching for a fish to swim by in the shallow water. Green Herons are known to try to lure fish using twigs or other objects as bait. It is a small heron, reaching about 17 inches in length.

Thanks Ashley and kdpicturemaker. This green heron was so intent on catching dinner that he stayed very still which made taking his picture a lot easier!
