Toxicodendron radicans
Stick like vine, Three leaves, climbs, creeps
Eeek lol... I never get it, but it is probably because I avoid anything remotely like it. Thank you for clarifying.
A sneaky plant you really need to learn to ID. It always has leaves in groups of 3. NOT always "shiny". It can be a vine climbing up a tree, it can be a single little plant growing in the wooded floor, It can also resemble a small bush. When a vine, the main vine is hairy.
The easiest way for me to ID it is by the notching on the leaves: The one on "top" is heavily notched two or three times on BOTH SIDES of the leaf, symmetrically. The bottom two leaves tend to be PLAIN on the upper edge, and heavily notched on the rear edge with one or two large notches.
As a naturalist who leads kids on nature hikes, I've basically got my eye-balls permanently set to "scan" for poison ivy as I walk. :)
(and, BTW... don't let anyone tell you they "dont get it". Neither did I. Until I did. Badly! )
