Description:

Small blue butterfly, pale gray underwings lacking any orange or strong black spots, and lacking a tail. In a woodland, and one of the first non-hibernating butterflies to fly in spring.

Habitat:

Along a trail through a mesic woodland.

Notes:

Also seen on horse and dog feces along the trail.
