Description:

This is an attractive herbaceous flowering plant with spiny stems and leaves and yellow composite flower-heads, belonging to Asteraceae family.

Habitat:

Found deep inland of Peljesac peninsula, in Mediterranean garrigue.

Notes:

The root is edible as a stew; and young shoots and leaves as salads.
