Description:

It is a short-lived herbaceous perennial or biennial growing to 12 – 30 cm tall by 15 cm wide, with hairy leaves and a profusion of disc-shaped, intensely blue (occasionally white) flowers in Spring. It name derives from the German legend about an logs, everlasting true love but with tragic end, when a knight went to pick this flowers next to the river for its bride but he drowned in the rived and his last word were: Vergiss mein nicht!

Native to Europe.
