Mute Swan [male] part 4

Cygnus Olor

Description:

Swans are large, white birds that have a strong orange beak with a small black hump near their eyes that is part of a black mask. The chicks will climb on their mother's back if she swims away, and the only reason i got these closeup photos was because the male swam so close to me in an effort to scare me away; he is VERY protective of his wife and kids. the third photo shows his black legs. one swipe of his wing can break an arm. he is very aggresive.

Habitat:

in our grandparents pond
