Talicada nyseus
It is locally common all year round and found in semi-arid plains, degraded patches, gardens, hill stations and forests, wherever its food plant is plentiful. It is found from the plains to 8000 feet and is quite common below 4000 feet elevation.
The larvae feed on Kalanchoe pinnata (Bryophyllum calycinum) of the family Crassulaceae.
