Sylvilagus palustris

Habitat:

Found in grassy area of Discovery Center, Brazoria National Wildlife Refuge, in the vicinity of coastal marsh and ponds.

Notes:

Spotted around 7 p.m., much earlier than sighting at same location on May 9th. With better lighting, better photographs of rabbits. Pair was largely in a mating behavior.

Marsh rabbits have shorter ears, faces and bodies:
