About 16 inches long

Habitat:

Near shore, Gulf of Mexico.

Notes:

Caught and released by fisherman who allowed me to take photo before it return to ocean.

It was set on the beach momentarily to get a photo, then it was returned to the ocean and it swam away. Personally, anything dead, I wouldn't count as a spotting.
