Hyperolius marmoratus
These little frogs holding onto a grass stem, sleeping in the hot sun.
Occurs throughout the country in highveld, middleveld, lowveld and Lubombo regions. This one was seen on the way to magadzavane Lodge, near the switchback.

Thanks lauren... Sorry it took so long to answer, but the internet is quite far away! I love these little frogs also. Always amazed me that they hung onto those reeds, out in the open, all day in the hot African sun. Have some photos taken at night of them singing that I'll put up sometime...
Hi Gilma... Yes, enjoying Swaziland, a perfect intro to Africa! Next to nothing on the internet front, so I have many spottings to upload when the speed warrants it. The trip has already grown and looks like I will be around Africa for 4 months at least. I want to spend a month in Madagaskar next! Will leave Swaziland sometime after Easter. Much love to you both there in Costa Rica. Won't be back there this year it seems!!
