Trap-jaw ant

Odontomachus sp.

Description:

I'm not sure of the species, all I know is this is an Odontomachus. To help you narrow down the possible answers, this one is from Mindanao, in the south of the Philippines. I transfered this individual to my home setup, since photographing this in its hive would agitate the other workers, and these guys have a vicious bite, needless to say. I returned it afterwards.
