Description:

120-145 cm tall, males weigh an average of 2.8 kg and females weigh an average of 2.2 kg. Plumage mostly pink, wing coverts red, primary and secondary flight feathers are black. The bil is is pink and white with black tip.

Habitat:

Saline lagoons, mudflats, shallow brackish coastal or inland lakes.
