Description:

Black caterpillar with wooly gray hairs. A double row of yellow markings run down each side of its back. It, and another smaller one were on a Desert Bird of Paradise, (Caesalpinia gilliesii).

Habitat:

Mixed woods hillside above Belton Lake.
