about one inch, supremely camouflaged, one of the most amazing insects I've ever seen! some type of Phasmid.
cloudforest, 2200m
I spotted this on a patch on my small daypack. I was taking photos of an orchid with my back lying on the ground nearby. When I went to pick it up I thought this was a piece of moss and was about to brush it off. It was only then I realized it was an insect! Along with my moss mimic stick insect, this was one my most favorite spots from Colombia. As with the moss mimic, this insect was very calm. Spotting #1900!
