Many species of sawfly larvae are not gregarious. This is a Lophyrotoma sp. (Family Pergidae) Here's one found singly on ironbarks around here... http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/109... Nice colour Mac. This is a sawfly larva; possibly Perga sp.
