Round-leafed Sundew

Drosera rotundifolia

Description:

This carnivorous plant can be found in nutrient poor bogs where they need all the help they can get to survive.

Notes:

When a small insect gets stuck to the sticky droplets the leaf will close up around whatever it caught. Medicinally the sundews have been used for its anti-inflammatory and antispasmodic qualities.
