Megalaima australis
I found this on the fruity tree early morning.. Small (18 cm) Barbet with blue crown and chin and black malar stripe and throat bar. In Javan race australis has yellow cheeks and upper breast. The voice fast, repeated, endeless rattle tuk tuk tuk, about 100 times a minutes with continuos head turning.
Not uncommon birds from sea level about 2000 m.

You're welcome Bernadette.. Thank you Tom and Jacubko..
Beautiful bird and photo!
Wonderful bird!
Wow - thanks, Mona, for finding and sharing a video with his call! He sounds like a persistent alarm clock. :-) Wish to hear the forest waking up! It's so quiet here in the desert.
Lovely!

Thank you Bernadette.. Yes it this, we can hear them start to calling about 5.30 am, and louder and louder waking up their friends..and suddenly all the forest singing together.. I will try to find it from google, and I will put in here if I can.
Great capture! Love his colors. Would be nice to hear an audio of his call.
