The brown tree snake is sometimes known as the 'doll's eye' or 'night tiger' - names referring to its large yellow eyes and banded body. It is usually brown to reddish-brown with irregular darker cross-bands. The brown tree snake is mainly found in eucalypt woodland but also occurs in rainforest. It is nocturnal and is generally found in trees. This one is living in my wall under the kitchen window and is very friendly. It helps with my mouse controlling

Awesome spotting, Chris. Congrats on your SOTD (better late than never). Beautiful image and great notes. Would it still be living under your kitchen window if it was 2 metres long?
