Project Noah Nature School
Hi. This photograph was taken at Fort Casey, WA. It does indeed appear to be a sea anemone captured on the shoreline of Admiralty Inlet which connects the eastern end of the Strait of Juan de Fuca to the Puget Sound.
Looks like a Red Swimming Anemone
Can you describe where you found it. It doesn't look like it came from where your map says. was it in the Sound?
Bizarre! Kind of heart/coral/fungi looking.
