Procyon lotor

A hunting egret had my attention when I realized the marsh grass was moving. Slowly, up from the marsh grass, rose a raccoon. He carefully checked all around him several times before cautiously beginning to move through the grass,

Seen at Wakodahatchee Wetlands Preserve in the marshy grass area.

I was able to observe this raccoon for several minutes as it made its way through the grass. His movements were very cautious.
