Microcebus tavaratra
Small (nose to tail tip 10 1/2"), nocturnal lemur; omnivorous, diet consists of insects, small vertebrates, gum, fruit, flowers, nectar, leaves, buds, etc. They store fat in tail and hind legs as females become dormant during dry season (May-Oct). Males are more active in dry season. Nest in tree holes and sometimes bird nests.
