Pheucticus chrysogaster
The Golden-bellied Grosbeak is a species of cardinal. It is very similar to the Mexican Yellow Grosbeak. It is found in Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Trinidad, Tobago, and Venezuela. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests. It uses it short heavy beak to break open and feed on seeds.
This golden-bellied grosbeak lives in captivity in a rain forest within the National Aquarium in Baltimore, Maryland
