Malachite Butterfly ( One Empty Pupa )

Siproeta stelenes

Description:

One day during the summer, I went outside to check on my outdoor butterfly garden. I spotted three Malachite Butterfly Pupae, that was attached to one of its host plants. I carefully removed one pupa, and brought it inside my house with me. I then put this one pupa, inside of of my terrariums, and waited for it to eclose. Some time later, I set this new butterfly free. I then placed this empty, transparent pupa, on top of a brown towel, so I could take some photos of it. ( Note: The skin of this empty pupa, was clear and transparent. As soon as I took some photos of this empty, clear, transparent pupa, lying on a brown towel, the pupa in all my photos, was now white in color ). All my photos, are of an empty pupa. The pupa of a Malachite Butterfly.

Habitat:

This empty pupa, from a Malachite Butterfly, was spotted inside one of my terrariums.

Notes:

I removed one Malachite pupa, from my outdoor, butterfly garden, and placed it inside one of my terrariums. After this pupa eclosed, I took some photos of this empty pupa, to use as reference material.
