Sphinx Moth

Ambulyx moorei

Description:

Sphinx with more than 60mm wingspan. Two big 'eyes' in the" loin", blacks with white 'pupil'. Another pair of eyes to the sides in the abdomen, where finish the wings, smaller than the previous ones and without pupil. Rest of the wings in design similar to dry sheet or wood. Family: Sphingidae Genus: Ambulyx Species: A. moorei

Habitat:

Tropical wood, close to the shore.

Notes:

The underside of the body is red-orange.

Yes, Agnes. Could be cos of this part of Nothern Luzon there are not too much info. I edit like A. moorei; I think is correct.
