Could be. I was also noticing the grass to the marks. It makes the tracks look bigger

From the pictures of tracks I've seen a skunks looks exactly like a dog track where as a raccoons toes are more spread out like in this photo.

I think the raccoon is skinnier. I could be a skunk

Yes,a sign of wildlife goes in the same group as the organism that made or is part of the sign. "Other" is not unknown but for those organisms that don't fit elsewhere...for example starfish, snails, squid, worms...
