linatella succinta

linatella succinta

Description:

Around 3 inches, belonging to the cymatiidae family. Beautifully contrasting brown lines around a beige background.

Habitat:

Southern Philippines.

Notes:

This is a specimen I collected in 1977. It is uncommon. I do not collect anymore because of the rarity of these mollusks. The collection I have, I hope, future generations can look at and appreciate the beauty and diversity of nature and evolution.
