Pontia glauconome
small chrysalis, about 1.5 cm in length
spotted on the underside of a henbane plant that I had just ripped out of my desert garden...so the life cycle will continue indoors
see spotting of the larvae from 8 days before: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/227...

Beautiful pupa!
Thank you, Gerardo!
Thanks again, bayucca! I've updated the spottings. I've got this pupa indoors so hopefully we'll see what emerges. Can you confirm the ID of this white, in case I've got it wrong too: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/238...
Congratulations great spot !
Congrats!!
I would call this one Pontia edusa/daplidice. There are both reported from Egypt and it is not possible to separate them from each other with out the native specimen and DNA. There are still lot of discussions about these species. Even the pupae looks almost identical.
my 400th spotting! :-)
