Zephyranthes rosea
Lovely pink flowered monocot with six petals; six stamens; and a slender style that divides three-fold. I like its name, sounds so ancient. xD
It was planted throughout our campus.
Toxic alkaloids like lycorine are found in the bulbs of these plants which are also present in other members of its Genus.
