Ants

Description:

This bunch of Ants had forcefully peeled back a large foliose Lichen on a tree trunk and seemed to be feeding or working inside of it. There was no trail of ants coming in or out and no trail of ants on the tree. It was very odd. They were gone the next morning.

Habitat:

Lacandon Jungle, Las Guacamayas Eco-logge, Lacantun River, Chiapas.
