Black Mulberry

Description:

Black mulberries are the fruit of the largest deciduous fruit tree in the Maltese Islands. The fruit is made up of several small berries closely packed together. The fruit is very juicy and has an acid sweet taste when fully ripe. Fruit maturation is quite prolonged, stretching from June until September.

Habitat:

Thrives close to watercourses in shady valleys.
