Green Heron Fledgling

Butorides virescens

Description:

This Green Heron fledgling has grown up very fast. Usually I have seen 3 babies for the past 2 yrs at this nesting site. It must have been easier for the parents to take care of one fledgling. It was turning it's head to the click of the camera.

Hi Jemma, sorry. FOY is First of the Year. It is always fun to see things for the first time as they are returning and know you get to enjoy them all summer. :)
