Riptortus clavatus
About 2cm long insect, with the typical hind legs of hopping insects. This one is not easily startled, only twitching a little when approached.
Near the ground on the edge of the gazetted nature reserve at Labrador Park.
Pls verify.. Riptortus clavatus is one of the most harmful pests of soybeans in Japan. But I could not find a record of the species in Singapore. Thanks!
