Tabebuia rosea
A beautiful flowering, deciduous tree. Same family as the Jacaranda - Bignoniaceae. This species is distributed from southern México, to Venezuela and Ecuador. It flowers in Spring, and can grow to a height of 30 m. It grows very well in Australia's subtropical climate. It is the national tree of El Salvador, but is equally at home in Brisbane.
This tree was spotted at the Brisbane Botanical Gardens, Mt. Coot-Tha.
