A large damselfly, of the family Calopterygidae (the Broad-Winged Damsels). Red coloring on the base of the wings, the abdomen has a green metallic sheen above, and is marked by pale rings near the nodes between segments.

Habitat:

Found along a small slow-flowing creek.
