Sulphur-Tipped Clubtail

Gomphus militaris

Description:

Yellow with brown markings on thorax. Abdomen white and black except final segments. Yellow face.

Habitat:

Along a limestone-bedded creek.

Notes:

This one was having some problems. One wing had not unfolded properly after it emerged, and it was struggling in the water to get to a rock, where it spread its wings in the sun. Even after an hour, the wing had not taken proper shape.
