Spotting

Description:

This is an image of a dark brown, almost black, squirrel eating a nut on a sidewalk outside of a residence hall.

Habitat:

College campus in Easton, Pennsylvania. Plenty of grass areas with trees and bushes for the squirrel to build a habitat in.

Notes:

The squirrel seemed genuinely unbothered by the presence of human life. Although the sidewalk appears empty now, it is normally one of the most populated sidewalks on the campus. It appears the squirrel found a nut from somewhere nearby and chose to bring it over to this spot to begin to eat it.
