Swollen yellow bill, dark brown head and neck, long spikey feathers on back of head and neck. Underparts white with heavy black streaks.
Wooded savannas, acacia woodlands, mango groves and rain forest edges. This one was seen in a stand of trees to the back of the beach in The Gambia
