Mediterranean checkered scorpion

Mesobuthus gibbosus

Description:

This yellow to yellow-brown scorpion can reach 67-75 mm in length, and is distributed in eastern parts of Europe.

Habitat:

It can be found in both humid and more dry areas.Under rocks and sometimes between crackholes of old stone build houses. Personaly i have found them in the same area that Iurus sp. and Euscorpius sp. inhabits.

Notes:

Not much known about their venom but they have a painful sting and from a friend of mine i know he had feeling of numbnes on his lips.
