Tiger centipede

Scolopendra polymorpha

Description:

Segmented body with many legs, usually brown, orange, or yellow, with a dark band on each segment.

Habitat:

Forest, grassland, and desert, under rocks or inside rotting logs.

Notes:

The green and turquoise and blue of these (I've seen several around here over the last few years) had me really confused. They look like Polymorpha viridis, but this is way out of the range of P. viridis.
