Thank you so very much Tom for the ID, I actually looked under Melandryidae, but had no results! Thank you a lot gatorfellows for looking for the ID, it does seem a lots like Cymatodera, and also some Elateridae. Best of luck finding an ID for your beetles, Sckel. Thank you so much, Karen!

We have similar beetles here in Texas called Checkered Beetles, Genus Cymatodera. Did not find yours in BugGuide, but here is a link to what I am suggesting - http://bugguide.net/node/view/645525/bgi...
