Red-tailed Hawk

Buteo jamaicensis

Description:

Mostly likely a Red-tailed Hawk light morph, but other suggestions are welcome. This bird was lighter in color and seemed slightly smaller than a typical adult Red-tailed Hawk in the area.

I'm pretty sure this is a red-tail. Considering we can see what appears to be a belly band. Do you have any other images? Could be a male since he appeared to be smaller. RTH have an incredible variation of color and morphs. This individual may have some sun bleached feathers or is just slightly lighter in color. He's a pretty bird! Nice shot!
