Corn Spider

Description:

Also known as the corn spider,this female 19mm-28mm. Corn spiders trap flying insects like aphids, flies, grasshoppers, wasps, and bees in their web.

Habitat:

To try and protect themselves from winds and storms,they usually live in sunny fields or tall plants, like this cactus. Their webs can be up to 2 ft in diameter. They can be found in Hawaii, Canada Mexico,and inland U. S. states.

Notes:

This spider was spotted near my house, but its been seen at S. D. Spady.
