Caterpillar of Oleander Hawk Moth

Description:

Quite a large Caterpillar, around 7 cm in length with blue 'false eyes'. The spine/hook on the back is short.

Habitat:

Urban garden

Notes:

I saw the adult Oleander Hawk Moth in July 2017 at the same location, so it was nice to see this Caterpillar this year :) https://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/14...

@Ana, I am not familiar, but did a Google search and this is what I get :

The caterpillars feed mainly on oleander (Nerium oleander) leaves, a highly toxic plant, to which the caterpillars are immune. They also may feed on most plants of the dogbane family, such as Adenium obesum, Tabernaemontana divaricata and Alstonia scholaris in India.

Hello! I wonder what kind of leaves they eat? I found one crossing the street so i took it home in worries it might get squished by passing cars or eaten by cats. I dont know what kind of leaves they eat so i gave a bunch of different leaves but i dont see it eating any of those i gave. A little help please. Thanks!
