Wild turkey

Meleagris gallopavo

Description:

A female I believe. Brown plumage becoming more varied in color and more spotted toward the tail with a patch of copper plumage right before the tail feathers

Habitat:

Side of the road beside a field

Notes:

This turkey was behaving oddly. When I was first approaching it sat down right on the side of the road. As I got closer it got up and moved about 10 ft. Although it was wary of me it didn't want to run too far away.
